Calder – Picasso : rencontre de deux maîtres de l’art abstrait

Alexander Calder (1898-1976) and Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) are two of the most innovative figures of twentieth-century art. The two artists explored the empty and the lack of space, which the two artists respectively approached through their works, from silhouette to abstraction.
The exhibition presents about 120 works that allow us to study in an enlarged perspective how these two artists, each in their own way, have dealt with this question of emptiness and challenged the movement of the masses.A

The Nights of the stars

From Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th August, contemplate the sky and its mysteries with Nights of the stars. This weekend, join different observation spots in Paris and around to meet experts and observe the stars through astronomical glasses and telescopes, thanks to the CNRS and the French Association of Astronomy. This year’s theme is “From Stone to Star“, and will focus on the secrets of alien stones.
